Damien Jurado doesn’t sound like a modern singer-songwriter. While others draw from their favorite late ’60s and early ’70s artists, Jurado sounds like he’s living the era. That wouldn’t normally appeal to me but there’s something so earnest, gritty and raw about Jurado’s music. His new album, Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son, is excellent.
Jurado plays a pair of sold-out shows at Schubas Saturday night.
