Members of New Jersey’s the Everymen clearly have a good sense of humor. The lead track on the nine-piece band’s new album, Giving Up on Free Jazz, is a 47-second heavy metal head fake. From there, the band launches into a Springsteen-like intro for the rocker A Girl Named Lou Pt. 2. The pace is fast and the energy level is high. The band also has a reputation as a fun live act. Go see for yourself when Everymen plays the Burlington Wednesday night.
