The most interesting new album I heard over the past week was Sinkane’s Mean Love. At the core of every song is an African influence that is fused with American soul, funk and even a little country.
Originally from Sudan, Sinkane (Ahmed Gallab) now resides in Brooklyn and is signed to James Murphy’s (LCD Soundsystem) DFA Records.
