Ty Segall’s albums have always contained a collection of songs that nod to a jukebox of influences. He also released an entire album of T. Rex covers.
Now the prolific California rocker is planning a new album, Fudge Sandwich, a collection of covers ranging from the Grateful Dead to Sparks.
Listen to the lead single from the collection, a fairly faithful rendition of Spencer Davis Group’s I’m A Man.
The album is expected out October 26.
And Segall is scheduled to play a November 2 show at Thalia Hall.
