Austin’s Crack Pipes mix soul, blues, punk

Kicking it since the 1990s, Austin’s soulful punks the Crack Pipes just released the band’s first album in 11 years.

Fake Eyelashes is a mix of blues and rock through a filter of garage and soul. The album really gets going with the second song Lil’ Cheetah then mixes rockers with doo-wop and a little funk.

Somehow, I haven’t come across these guys before but I’m glad to discover them now. Definitely recommended if you like bands like Oblivians.
