On his latest album, Power Chords, LA rocker Mike Krol produces punchy pop punk that falls somewhere between Jeff Rosenstock and the late Jay Reatard.
This is Krol’s first album since his 2015 release Turkey and it packs a lot of punch in its 11 songs, clocking in at just 34 minutes.
This is the best rock album I’ve heard in this young new year and I suspect it will still be a contender at the end of 2019.
