Wax Trax! lives again this weekend in Chicago

 

One of the most interesting Record Store Day releases — at least locally in Chicago — is the vinyl soundtrack to the new documentary Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records.

The documentary focuses on the legendary Chicago label that ushered in industrial music in the U.S. 

If you purchase the soundtrack in Chicago on Record Store Day (this Saturday) at a handful of local record stores you will get tickets to a Vans-sponsored Wax Trax! event the same day, which includes the film screening and live performances by Ministry and Cold Cave. Similar events follow in Brooklyn, Toronto, Austin, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The event is at House of Vans Chicago, 113 N. Elizabeth St., Chicago.
