Kim Gordon, Big Thief, Purple Mountains: Best albums of 2019

Kim Gordon’s first solo release was the best album I heard in 2019.

Sadly, we also lost David Berman this year. Before he took his life, he released his last album under the moniker Purple Mountains and it is very, very good.

Big Thief released two excellent albums, both noted below.
