Beginning today and through this week, I’m featuring an exceptional 2020 indie album each day.
I’ve picked six albums that I find extremely compelling. There’s truly great music being released.
Many of us are trying to find an escape and music has always been an outlet for me. I’ve spent a lot of time with the half dozen albums I’m featuring here through Friday.
Each of the albums should be available on Bandcamp and I recommend buying it there as it’s one of the best ways to really support the artists.
Of course, independent record stores need our business during this tough time. So check them out to see if they’re either doing mail order or curbside pickup.
Here in Chicago, for instance, Reckless Records is providing curbside pickup at two of its stores. You can shop online here.
For my first recommendation, I’m highlighting Ambertron by Chicago band
Mint Mile. It has a great indie rock guitar sound with country and folk interspersed. The band is led by former Silkworm member Tim Midyett (pictured at right).
I hope you enjoy this music as much as I do.
