Chicago’s Pitchfork festival returns in September

Big Thief

The 2020 Pitchfork Festival in Chicago, announced in February last year, was stacked. It featured Big Thief, Kim Gordon, Angel Olsen, Danny Brown, Thundercat and more.

Unfortunately, that fest never took place but the good news is that promoters are confident enough to announce a 2021 edition September 10-12 and all those aforementioned artists will be performing this year.

The headliners for September are Phoebe Bridgers (announced as an opener last year) on Friday, St. Vincent on Saturday and Erykah Badu on Sunday.

There are plenty of other great acts scheduled this year, including Ty Segall & Freedom Band, Ela Minus, Dehd, Flying Lotus, Waxahatchee, Yves Tumor, Jamila Woods, Cat Power, the Weather Station, Kelly Lee Owens, Hop Along, black midi, Special Interest, Fiery Furnaces, Animal Collective and Bartees Strange.

Tickets are available now.
