Phil Elverum’s longtime project, the Microphones, will perform more than a dozen shows next year, including a stop in Chicago in March.
Elverum, who also performs as Mount Eerie, released Microphones in 2020 last year, one 45-minute song. That release was the first as Microphones since 2003.
“We’re playing our one long song,” Elverum said in a statement, “and inviting everyone to come get thumped by it.”
The tour includes a stop at Thalia Hall in Chicago March 2.
