The last concert I saw before the March 2020 pandemic lockdown was Destroyer at Thalia Hall earlier that month.
On Thursday, Dan Bejar, who has been performing as Destroyer since the late 1990s, will return to the Pilsen venue promoting his new album Labyrinthitis.
When Bejar started out with Destroyer, his voice sounded like a defiant punk.
In more recent years, his music has reminded me of the early ’70s glam era of Lou Reed and Bowie.
However you define it, his music is highly engaging and always interesting.
He’ll take the stage at Thalia Hall Thursday. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
