On his recent tour, Ty Segall has been opening his shows with a mini-acoustic set with collaborator and bandmate Emmett Kelly.
About four or five songs in, Ty’s Freedom Band comes out and plays some of the crunchier songs, including Hello, Hi, the title track of his new album.
On Hello, Hi, Ty gives us a mix of the acoustic and loud — sometimes on the same song.
It’s another interesting offering from this prolific musician (earlier this year, he released a soundtrack for the movie Whirlybird).
And, of course, don’t pass up a chance to see Ty and his band live. They always play a great set.
