I’ve long loved Cuba, the 1987 underappreciated gem of an album by the great New York band the Silos.
So it was a thrill to hear Walter Salas-Humara and his current lineup for the Silos play that album and more at Montrose Saloon, a small bar in Chicago, last week.
I’m not sure how long Walter will be out there performing Cuba in these little venues, but go see the show if you can.
These guys played their hearts out and it was fantastic.
Here’s the Silos way back in the day.
