PACKS shares new song, Paige Machine

Paige Machine is the latest single from Toronto artist Madeline Link’s upcoming album, Melt the Honey.

Link, who performs as PACKS, says the song was inspired by a story about Mark Twain’s large, ill-fated investment in a failed invention.

“Twain invested in a printing device called the Paige Compositor, spent his life’s savings on it, and it worked almost perfectly,” she says. “It would have been revolutionary but then the inventor, Paige, took it apart to tweak something — make the machine work even better — and it never worked again.”

Melt the Honey is expected out January 19.
