Ty Segall describes his new album, Three Bells, as “a 15-song cycle that takes a journey to the center of the self.”
It’s an album that continues Segall’s trippy psych-rock sound but also feels a bit more polished.
That’s not to say this is any type of departure. It’s definitely a sound still recognizable to longtime fans.
There’s been a bit written already this year about Segall maturing, but I’d say he’s still making intriguing, exciting music.
