SZA plays Lolla, Alanis headlines Pitchfork, wait, what?

Bratmobile plays this year’s Pitchfork fest in Chicago’s Union Park.

The lineups are announced for Lollapalooza and Pitchfork.

Some longtime Pitchfork fest fans may scratch their heads wondering about Alanis Morisette as a headliner this year but this is an event that has featured top acts as varied as the Isley Brothers and God Speed You! Black Emperor in past years.

Pitchfork has included amazing headliners as well. It will also feature some Riot Fest-style nostalgia acts this year, including Bratmobile and Unwound.

Lollapalooza has some exciting acts at the top of the bill, including SZA and Tyler the Creator.

Please read this story by Mark Guarino about the VIP programs at Pitchfork becoming more prominent and how that’s a trend among concert promoters.

It’s also not money going to the bands.
