There have been so many excellent tributes written about Steve Albini, who left us way too early.
But an article in Bandcamp today really grabbed my attention, detailing the many great but unsung bands he helped record. The article also features multiple tracks.
From Tar and Silkworm to Slint and Pussy Galore to the Ponys and the Ex , Albini helped so many interesting artists that have added distinct and varied sounds over the years.
Even Flour, a name I haven’t heard in years, is tagged here.
