Chicago-area music vet Jason Narducy joined the band Verböten when he was 10 years old.
If the name sounds familiar, Dave Grohl gave huge props to Verböten on the HBO documentary miniseries Sonic Highways. Then there was a Verböten theater production in Chicago just before the COVID-19 pandemic blew up.
Grohl’s cousin Tracey Bradford was in the band along with Narducy, who would later go on to play with Bob Mould, Superchunk and others.
The last time Verböten played a live show was 1983, and Narducy and his bandmates are scheduled to play Riot Fest in Chicago September 21.
That’s not all. The reunited band will release its first album, a self-titled 12-track release October 4.
Listen to Bodily Autonomy from the upcoming album.
