Bandcamp Friday is back March 7

During the first year of COVID-19 in the U.S., the online record store Bandcamp waived its revenue once a month on sales of music and merch sold by artists on its site.

Instead of taking a cut of sales, it allowed the musicians to earn a little more.

The offer was so popular that it continued off and on after the pandemic.

On Friday, March 7, Bandcamp Friday is back.

This is a good way to supports artists, and you may find something that you can’t hear on Spotify or other streaming services.

One example: Seattle punks Fan Club (formerly Lysol) offers some songs I can’t find on Spotify. Same goes for experimentalists 75 Dollar Bill.

You can buy digital downloads or order physical music as well as T-shirts and other merchandise.

Bandcamp announced some future dates for the same promotion. Check them out here.

Bandcamp Friday is back for 2025. On March 7, we’ll once again waive our revenue share, ensuring more money goes directly to artists. Last year, fans spent $3.1 million in a single day—the biggest since 2022. Let’s keep that momentum going. Mark your calendars and get your wishlist ready.
