Connecticut rockers Ovlov will kick off a North American tour in Chicago this weekend with a sold-out show at Bottom Lounge Saturday.
The band is following up its last album, the excellent Buds in 2021, with a collection of home-recorded demos made ahead of that release.
Buds Demos is expected out this Friday.

Ovlov has been around since 2009, though its only released three full studio albums. There have been comparisons to Dinosaur Jr. over the years, and those influences are still evident. But the music is also highly original and really enjoyable with hooks galore.
Krill 2 and Chicago bands Babe Report and Bursting open Saturday.
