Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus played with three other indie rock vets last year to create the self-titled debut from the Hard Quartet.
Joining him: Emmett Kelly of the Cairo Gang, Superwolf and Chavez member Matt Sweeney and Jim White from Dirty Three.
Together, they made one of the best albums of 2024.
The Hard Quartet plays a sold-out show at Empty Bottle Friday.
