The lineup for this year’s Riot Fest in Douglass Park was announced today with Green Day, Blink-182 and Weezer listed as headliners.
The second tier of acts includes Jack White and Idles, a band I’m actually most excited to see.
As it is each year, there’s a mix of nostalgia acts and newer bands.
Other notables: Jawbreaker, Sparks, Helmet, Ovlov, the Effigies, the Linda Lindas, Smoking Popes, the Lambrini Girls and the Hold Steady.
Some of the reunion acts are missing original members. The Sex Pistols will be appearing without John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten.
I’d be curious to see punk pioneers Stiff Little Fingers and the Damned.
