Amyl and the Sniffers’ 2024 album, Cartoon Darkness, strayed a bit from the tried and true punk that fueled the Aussie band’s first two albums. It also was one of the most thoroughly enjoyable albums I heard last year.
The band’s live show is not to be missed. I first caught Amy Taylor and her mates at a street festival in Chicago in 2019. Several weeks ago, the band played Coachella.
On Thursday, Amyl and the Sniffers plays a sold-out show at Chicago’s Salt Shed.
