Almost a year ago, MJ Lenderman played a small room at Chicago’s Sleeping Village.
It was an intimate gathering and a set that I’ll long remember.
So, it’s hard to believe that Lenderman will headline a sold-out show at Salt Shed Wednesday before a crowd well more than 10 times the size of that Sleeping Village audience a year ago.
His rapid ascent in popularity is well deserved. His tragic and funny lyrics made his release Manning Fireworks my favorite album last year.
