Jeff Tweedy shares video for Feel Free from upcoming album

Feel Free is the latest single from Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy’s upcoming album, Twilight Override.

A video of the 7-minute song shows Tweedy performing with friends and family at the Loft, his Chicago studio.

The video includes sons Spencer and Sammy along with collaborators Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart (OHMME), James Elkington and Liam Kazar.

“The freedom I’m talking about in this song comes in both small doses and large doses,” Tweedy says in a statement. “It arrives at me, at the most free I feel in my life. Which is making a record with my friends and singing a song that I feel like is a part of the past, present and future.”

There’s an interesting twist to this release. Here’s more from the publicity statement:

In conjunction with the “Feel Free” release, Tweedy announces a fan-submitted lyrics project referencing the song’s closing line: “a song that never ends.” Pulling from listener submissions, he will record an extended version of the song to release at a later date on his Substack, Starship Casual.
