Mind Spiders – Prosthesis
Fort Worth, Texas-based Mind Spiders is the project of Mark Ryan (Marked Men, Radioactivty).
Prosthesis is not an overly complex album: It’s just really good, loud rock and roll. There’s a lot of guitar but also synthesizer.
Quilt – Plaza
Quilt, a foursome from Boston, blends rock, folk and psychedelia to create a strong set of songs on Plaza.
Doug Tuttle – It Calls on Me
Doug Tuttle also taps psychedelic and folk influences in a way that sounds like a long-lost album from the 1960s.
Holy Wave – Freaks of Nurture
Holy Wave makes a very cool, lush, laid back sound.
Deep Sea Diver – Secrets
Deep Sea Diver is led by former Shins guitarist Jessica Dobson. Secrets is full of great songs, straddling rock, pop and new wave.
