Chicago artist and music promoter Mike Reed, who helped launch the Pitchfork Music Festival, announced a new eclectic fest that will take place in September at a half dozen North Side venues.
The first Sound and Gravity will be held September 10-14 and feature Bill Callahan, Kim Gordon’s Body/Head, Helado Negro and many others.
There will be almost 50 acts in total that will play at Constellation, Beat Kitchen, Hungry Brain and at least three other nearby spaces.
Other artists performing, include Mdou Moctar, Jeff Parker and Irreversible Entanglements.

It was announced in November that Pitchfork would end its annual music festival after two decades in Chicago.
