Summer is hands down the best season in Chicago. And if you love live music outdoors, you gotta hit the street festivals.
Wicker Park Festival is one of the city’s best annual summer celebrations and the recent 2026 edition was another good one.
After a warmup set for Guided By Voices in 2017, Connecticut rock band Ovlov was the headliner for the festival’s Saturday night edition last month.
Through 18 songs, Ovlov kept up a furious tempo with no slowing down.
Formed in 2009, this band isn’t terribly prolific with just three full-length albums. But man these guys make every song count.
Their music is highly recommended.
